MEALS ON WHEELS

Did you know every other Wednesday for eight years straight University Bank and Sunrise Community Banks employees volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels to local residents?

Meals on Wheels is a program that serves the 7 county Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota metro area. Over 1,000,000 meals are delivered by Meals on Wheels volunteers every year.

Recently University Bank and Sunrise Community Banks received a letter from Amherst H. Wilder Foundation and Meals on Wheels thanking the employees for how much their volunteering means to them. "Without people like you who are willing to reach out to help others, programs like Meals on Wheels could not continue to thrive". The letter goes on to say "The clients love the many volunteers who bring them joy and cheer, as well as a hot meal, enabling them to remain living independently in the community."
